"The Voice" star Tess Boyer will kick off Saturday's Feed the Need concert in Alton by singing the national anthem.
ALTON — Senior Services Plus announced that “The Voice” star Tess Boyer will make a guest appearance at the fifth annual Feed the Need concert Saturday, June 7.
Boyer will kick off the evening by singing the national anthem. A Glen Carbon native and 2010 Edwardsville High School graduate, Boyer developed a large local fan base when she performed on "The Voice." Tess was a top finalist on season 6.
Boyer joins opening act The Harman Family Bluegrass Band, which will be followed by headliner John Michael Montgomery at the Liberty Bank Alton Amphitheater, 1 Riverfront Drive. Gates will open at 5 p.m. Tess will perform about 5:45 p.m. with The Harmans taking the stage at 6 p.m.
