MSCC to host TEDucation: “The Happy Secret to Better Work” Wednesday, April 22, 2015
Edwardsville, IL – On Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 7:00, Main Street Community Center will host Elizabeth Grant, Professor of Speech at Lewis and Clark Community College to facilitate this program. TED Talks are a free way to educate yourself on the web. These lectures range in length from 10-25 minutes and can be found on a vast array of topics ranging from science to anxiety reduction and are available at TED.com. The group will watch “The Happy Secret to Better Work” and participate in a discussion. We will discuss ways of making happiness a choice INSTEAD of a response to our circumstances. We will brainstorm for quick life hacks to increase our happiness potential. Suggestions of future topics will be accepted and appreciated. TEDucation programs are presented through a partnership between the Center, SIUE Office of Education and Lewis & Clark Community College.
