The folks of The Nature Institute, the Sierra Club, the Great Rivers Land Trust, The National Great Rivers Research and Education Center and the Green Business Alliance are excited to host the 3rd annual Riverbend Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 12th from noon to 6 p.m. This family-friendly event is FREE and open to the public.
This event will be held, rain or shine, at Great Rivers Land Trust's Piasa Harbor property, located on Route 100/Great River Road.
Sponsored by Madison County Planning and Development Office, Illinois American Water, and TheBank of Edwardsville, the festival will again bring the Riverbend community together for this celebration of nature, music, food, and the arts.
The festival grounds will be larger this year, which means more activities for attendees. Guests can enjoy live music (open jam so bring your instruments), paddling, fishing, disc golf, hiking, informational booths on local nature, hands-on workshops for kids and adults, arts and crafts, electronic and plastic pot recycling, a clothing swap and textile collections, tree planting, food and beverage from local vendors, and much more! Please help them spread the word about the Festival by encouraging your friends and family to attend.
