We are raising funds for our son, Colton Clifford, 4 years old who has a rare syndrome, Smith-Lemli-Opitz. Colton is participating in an expensive year-long therapy that insurance does not cover.
Smith Lemli-Opitz is a rare genetic disorder that causes the body to be unable to process cholesterol properly. Children with this syndrome can have the following issues:
*Microcephaly (small head) *2/3 toe syndactyly on both feet *Mild ptosis of the eyelid *Pronation of feet *Heart defects *Small stature *Slightly upturned nose *Hypotonia (low muscle tone) *Constipation *Vision problems *Chronic ear infections - *Reflux *Failure to thrive * Several Cognitive issues *High palate *Major Speech delays *Bifid uvula *Neurological issue * Motor planning issues *Absence of Daily living skills
