Alton Middle School will be hosting a blood drive in donation of two students here at Alton Middle School that have been diagnosed with Leukemia.
Zachary Stumpf is a 7th grade student in the Piasa House who is diagnosed with “Pre-B ALL” leukemia early in the 2013-2014 school year. He is now on home teaching and receives weekly chemotherapy treatments at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Zachary is a model student who is hard working, helpful and caring to his fellow classmates.
Demonte Ellis is an 8th grade student in the Fields Summit House who was recently diagnosed with “AML” Leukemia. He has been receiving treatment for the last month at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. He is expected to come home soon for a couple of weeks and then back to the hospital for another thirty days of rigorous chemotherapy treatments. Demonte is a charismatic young man with an amazing attitude and outlook on his diagnosis. He never complains and is confident in his recovery.
Please attend the Blood Drive on April 10th at Alton Middle School and support Zachary and Demonte in their fight against Leukemia.
