The Cabin Fest fundraiser will be held at Piasa Harbor along the beautiful Mississippi River. This is a family friendly festival at Piasa Harbor Park from noon to 11 pm. The proceeds from the festival benefit the Cabin Restoration Project, a collaborative effort began in 2012 to renovate group camp cabins in Pere Marquette State Park.
The camps were built by the Civilian Conservation Corp in the 1930’s to provide work for men
during the Great Depression and give visitors a place to stay at the park. Volunteers constructed more
than 800 parks nationwide the lodge and group camps being part of this initiative. Most of the cabins
are in disarray and are on a condemned list. We are trying to reverse this trend.
We are looking to showcase any nature or conservation based group that would like to share
information about their services and/or products with the public. We will be advertising and generating
coverage through the local media, so we expect several hundred people to attend the second annual
We are still accepting vendors and asking for a donation in exchange for you to set up a vendor booth. You must bring your own table, tent, chairs, and extension cords. Tents will have to be weighted with sandbags: no staking them, please. You must set up between 10am-12pm on July 12th
Thank you very much for your consideration. For more info, please call 618-463-1016 or 618-462-6802.
