A "dinky" celebration
The dinky was a rail bus that traveled from Alton To Grafton to deliver mail and passengers to communities along the river before the river road was built.
It ran from 1939 to 1953. The city of Grafton has obtained a replica of the bus which needs to be restored and will be housed by the new history museum to be built at the Grafton visitors center.
The event will feature dinner, tours of the bus, historical talks.
Admission by donation.
