Fireworks Viewing Party at the Confluence
Join the Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower in celebrating the 4th of July
(Hartford, Ill – June 18, 2014) – Enjoy fireworks this Fourth of July Holiday from the heights of the Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower in Hartford, IL. Two evenings of fireworks viewing will be offered with Alton’s annual display highlighted Friday, July 3 and Edwardsville’s on Saturday, July 4.
Sit back and relax while you view fireworks from one of three levels of the Tower. On Friday, kick your feet up and enjoy Alton’s firework display from a comfortable distance and then come back Saturday to do the same for Edwardsville’s. Gates open at 8:30 p.m. on both nights and the displays last until 10 p.m. Tickets are $20 for the top level 150 feet above the ground, $15 for the middle level, and $10 for the lower level. Seating is limited so make sure to grab your ticket while you still can.
“Viewing the local firework displays from the top level of the Tower is such an amazing experience,” Deanna Barnes, Project Manager for the Village of Hartford said. “One doesn’t have to worry about any trees or buildings blocking parts of the display when you are so high above the ground. The fireworks are viewed from a distance so they aren’t quite as loud, making the experience more enjoyable for guests and especially smaller children who may not be comfortable with loud noises.”
Fireworks displays in surrounding communities may also be visible throughout the evenings, although all displays will be seen at a distance.
Bringing your own chairs and treats is encouraged but alcohol is prohibited.
To purchase tickets, please call the Confluence Tower at 618-251-9101 or stop by the Tower at 435 Confluence Tower Drive in Hartford.
The Tower is open Monday through Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 5 p.m. Guided daily tours are available throughout the day at the Tower.
