The Maple Tapping class will give participants an opportunity to learn about where maple syrup comes from and helps them learn how to make their own. Discussions will include how the sap is obtained from the trees, how much sap is required to make a gallon of syrup and how to convert the sap to syrup. Participants will even have an opportunity to sample some home-made maple syrup. Raw sap will be available for those wanting to try making syrup at home. Please bring your own containers. Part of this class will be held outside, so participants are asked to dress appropriately. Cost for the class is $6 for adults, $4 for ages 12-16 and there is no charge for children 11 and under.
