Shoestring Dance will present 10 dance numbers ranging in styles from hip hop to contemporary ballet to tap, directed by Rachel Brady and Hilary Harper-Wilcoxen. The performance will be 7:30 p.m., Saturday, October 17, at the Jacoby Arts Center.
“Shoestring Dance is built on a very basic idea: Dance is for everyone,” says artistic director Hilary Harper-Wilcoxen. The dances promise to be simple, entertaining and inspiring for all ages to enjoy. The dances will be accompanied by classical and popular music, an Allison Kraus song and original live music by Scott Brady, Gabe Brady, Swabu Jefferson and Peter Hussey.
Alton Farmers Market vendor My Slice of Pie will be offering their home-baked pumpkin cheesecake, apple-crumb and coconut cream pies with coffee. Food and drink are available at an additional cost. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
