MADISON, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Madison has recognized students named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester of the 2014-2015 academic year.
Students who achieve at a high level academically are recognized by the dean at the close of each semester. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester. Each university school or college sets its own GPA requirements for students to be eligible to receive the distinction. Most call the honor “dean’s list,” but some grant the “Dean’s Honor List” and “Dean’s High Honor List.”
Local students who have received this honor include Morgan Suhre of Glen Carbon, College of Letters and Science.
Gustavus Adolphus College
ST. PETER, Minn. — The Fall Semester Dean's List at Gustavus Adolphus College has been released.
The list includes students who have earned a 3.7 grade point average (based on a scale in which 4.0 = A) or higher for the semester ending in December 2014.
The following local students were named to the Dean's List at Gustavus Adolphus College: Lauren Kershner of Marine.
LEBANON — Redell Hendricks, a McKendree University junior English literature and writing major from Edwardsville, has published her work in the Winter 2015 issue of "Scholars, the Online Journal of Undergraduate Research."
Redell's paper is entitled "A Conversation between Twilight and the Feminist World." Scholars is a forum for superior undergraduate student research. Submissions are accepted from all disciplines and methodological styles.
