EVANSVILLE, Ind. — The University of Evansville announces that multiple local students graduated during UE’s 157th Commencement Saturday, May 9, at the Ford Center.
The university awarded 583 degrees. Local graduates are:

Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society
BATON ROUGE, La. — The following local residents recently were initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
Seth Wilson of Bethalto was initiated at McKendree University
Mariah Huelsmann of Alton was initiated at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
Kellie Croxton of Granite City was initiated at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
Amy Shaw of Bethalto was initiated at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
Kimberly Phillips of Wood River was initiated at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
These residents are among approximately 32,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors, having at least 72 semester hours, are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees also may qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
