Don and Marsha Cobb of Wood River celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 28, 2015.
Don Cobb and the former Marsha Schaaf were married on Aug. 28, 1965, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Anita, Iowa. Their ceremony was officiated by Father Devlin.
Don and Marsha are the owners of Don’s No Man’s Land. Don retired from Emerson Electric after 30 years of service.
Their children are Julie and Rich Rollins of Roselle, Ill., Doug Cobb and Julie Chapman of South Roxana, Kathy Taylor and Steve Twichell of Alton, and Amy and Dennis Daugherty of Wood River. They have seven grandchildren, Luke Cobb, Jake Cobb, Abbey Taylor, Alex Taylor, Danny Rollins, Lily Daugherty and Daisy Daugherty. They also have one great-grandchild, Hayden Cobb.
The family celebrated at 5 p.m. Aug. 29, 2015, with a family dinner at Castelli’s at 255. They followed with a celebration of family and friends at Don’s No Man’s Land.
