A silent and live auction fund-raiser is coming to the Jacoby Arts Center.
Half of the proceeds from the highest bid go to Jacoby Arts Center and half go to the owner.
Featured auction items may include modern art and ceramics with antique and decorative art; historic books and collectables; American memorabilia, jewelry and old, classic timepieces. The auction also will feature modern and Depression era glass, art glass; old and rare coins; porcelain, bronzes, pre- Colombian American pottery, musical instruments and Native American artifacts. Other times include early American paintings and prints, 1800s classic chairs; and a most-wanted Paul Harney painting. There’s an exquisite complete selection of the popular Mississippi Lime prints in original frames. Bids will be taken on exclusive original works from notable artists Jeff Vaughn, Art Towata, Thomas Gipe, Crystal Jackson, Donn Warden and more favorites.
Food and beverages will be available; and the event will feature live music from 1 to 2 p.m. and 4 to 5 p.m. The auction paddle price of $10 is good all day. Bring auction items to Jacoby Arts Center, 627 E. Broadway, Alton, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday
The auction will be Sunday, April 27, at Jacoby Arts Center, 627 E. Broadway, Alton. Doors will open early for browsing. Auction hours are 1 to 5 p.m. with a live auction from 2 to 4 p.m.
