ALTON — Longtime entertainment staple Argosy Casino Alton continues to offer a variety of entertainment in its Music Hall, with the past few months giving guests a preview of new offerings to come.
Starting in January, Argosy Casino began offering Argosy Preferred Club members free entrance into all Music Hall events, with a mere $5 cover charge to anyone without a loyalty card. Saturday concerts have ranged from tribute bands such as “The Brothers,” an Allman Brothers tribute band to “Elevation” which covers the hits of U2 as well as local favorites like Butch Wax and the Hollywoods, Cosmic Cow and Rickie Lee Tanner.
“We are so lucky to have this amazing facility to try out all sorts of genres, whether it’s a tribute band or a pop act,” Jennifer Miglionico, Director of Marketing Argosy Casino, said. “In the first quarter we even worked with WIL92.3 to bring in a Dereoke event and send a winner to our property, M Resort, in Las Vegas in addition to tickets to the ACMA’s. We plan to continue to try new things such as trivia nights, karaoke, and expand the types of bands we bring here, all for free to our loyal guests.”
Trivia night is already planned for Tuesday, May 20, and is open to the general public (21+) and the Steven Woolley Band, a mix of rock and blues, is planned for Saturday, May 31, during the casino’s Spring Fiat Giveaway, also open to the public.
