ALTON — Steve Davis will bring his expanded two-hour concert to Alton Little Theater at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, to benefit the theater’s ongoing fundraising projects.
For two decades, Davis has dedicated his performance skills to recreating the concert experience enjoyed by audiences when Elvis Presley performed in Las Vegas in the 1970s. Davis built the full concert after research and collaboration with the Mid-South Revival Band, experienced rock ’n’ roll musicians.
This special Sunday afternoon performance will also feature lead-ins by Thomas Hickey’s tribute to Buddy Holly and a rendition of Patsy Cline’s best hits, performed by Anna Blais.
“Local audiences have so enjoyed Davis’ charity performances and brief appearances at other community events, but his many fans stress that Davis’ electrifying concert is what makes Memories of Elvis unforgettable,” an Alton Little Theater press release states.
Tickets are available through the ALT Box Office at (618) 462-3205, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday or online at www.altonlittletheater.org. An audience member will win a basket of Elvis’ favorite things ( including a sample of a fresh batch of his favorite cookies). Doors open at 1 p.m.. Refreshments are available at the expanded wine and beer bar.
