GRANITE CITY — There’s no better way to experience the excitement of the St. Louis Muny in Forest Par, than riding the Madison County Transit (MCT) Muny Express to every Friday night performance.
With ten pick-up locations in Madison County, the MCT Muny Express continues to be one of the most affordable, convenient and relaxing ways to get at the Muny. The curtain rises on the 2014 MCT Muny Express season this Friday, June 20, with the Tony award-winning “Billy Elliot the Musical.” The season continues with classics like “The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess,” “Hello, Dolly!,” “Grease” as well as other favorites such as “Tarzan,” “The Addams Family,” and “Seussical.” The Muny Express drops off and picks up passengers directly in front of the Muny.
MCT Muny Express Fares (one-way) are $3 for adults (13 and older); $1.50 for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and children ages 5-12; free for children under 5. Fares for the Muny Express are paid at the time of boarding. Buses will drop off in front of the Muny, 30 minutes before show time and leave for the return trip 20 minutes after the final curtain from the same location.
Pick-up and drop-off locations in Madison County for the Alton Muny Express are: Alton Square, Alton Holiday Inn, Eastgate Plaza, MCT Wood River Station and MCT Granite City Station. The Edwardsville Muny Express picks up at the following: MCT Edwardsville Station, Leclaire Junction, Cottonwood Mall, Maryville Park & Ride and Gateway Center in Collinsville.
