Fireworks over the Confluence tickets allow visitors to view firework displays from the top two levels of the Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. July 3-5.
ALTON — Residents will celebrate the July Fourth holiday weekend with Alton’s annual Fireworks on the Mississippi display Sunday, July 3, at the Liberty Bank Alton Amphitheater.
This spectacular display will be shot off between the Alton Marina and Henry Street. Admission to the amphitheater is free, although VIP tickets are available and include a private concession area, restrooms and one VIP parking spot close to the amphitheater. The VIP tickets are $25 per person and available at the Alton Visitors Center and through MetroTix.com.
Food, beverages, activities for children and live music will highlight the pre-fireworks celebration. Kicking off the entertainment will be a concert by Hudson and the Hoo Doo Cats at 6 p.m. The band is known for its unique “Jitterbugabilly” style. Since its debut in Austin, Texas, in 1989, the band relocated to St. Louis in 1995. Hudson and the Hoo Doo Cats have become a favorite for clubs in the area.
Amphitheater gates open at 5 p.m. There will be a break between the band concert and the fireworks. The fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. and last 30 minutes. Street parking is available in downtown Alton on Broadway and Third Street. Motorists who park in downtown Alton are encouraged to use the pedestrian bridge over Landmarks Boulevard to safely access the amphitheater. Parking is also available in city lots. The Henry Street parking lot will be closed for fireworks parking. People may also park on Riverlands Way in West Alton to catch the fireworks display.
Additional fireworks displays are scheduled through the Meeting of the Great Rivers Region beginning Sunday, June 26, and running through July 4.
The annual Fireworks at St. Louis Regional Airport will be Sunday, June 26, and is sponsored by Cornerstone Church. The festivities begin at 5 p.m. and will include crafters, vendors, games and entertainment for all ages. The fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m. Admission is free. The St. Louis Regional Airport is located at 8 Terminal Drive, East Alton.
Come out early for entertainment and food specials in Grafton with its annual Saturday, July 2, fireworks celebration. A fireworks display will be held on Front Street in this community along the Great River Road. Fireworks begin at dark. Come out early for entertainment and food specials at local restaurants.
Godfrey’s Family Fun Fest will be Monday, July 4 at Glazebrook Park, 1401 Stamper Lane. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. and run through the fireworks display, which will begin at around 9 p.m. Vendors, inflatables, a climbing wall, zipline, cow train, games, concessions, arts and crafts, Mike the Balloon Guy and BeBe the Face Painting Clown will be on hand to celebrate Independence Day. Admission is free. The Godfrey Corn Maze will be revealed to the public at this event. For information, call (618) 466-1483.
Jerseyville’s annual fireworks will begin at dusk, Monday, July 4, at the American Legion, 300 Veterans Memorial Parkway.

- Brighton: July 1-2, fireworks July 2 at dusk in Schneider Park with festivities beginning at 5 p.m.; two-day event features home run derby, live music and more.
- Fieldon: Will host fireworks July 2 at the Fieldon Baptist Church Playground. Fireworks will begin at dusk.
- Edwardsville: Friday, June 2, beginning approximately at dusk at American Legion.
