ALTON – The Glenhaven Gardeners Wii Bowling Team has advanced to the Final Four for the state of Illinois in the Wii Bowling Tournament sponsored by the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition (AALC).
This is the fifth annual Wii Bowling competition held by the AALC. This year 83 teams participated. To qualify, teams bowled against one another “virtually,” two games per week for seven weeks during February, March and April, racking up as many total points as possible. Glenhaven Gardens has made it to the Final Four every year, and is the only team to have done this.
Members of the Glenhaven Gardeners are Shirley Kane, Sheila LeMasters, Edna Mobley, Linda Waggoner and Janice Wright.
The tournament will be held in Decatur May 13-14. The AALC is broadcasting the games live on the Internet. Information on how to watch the tournament at can be found online at www.aalconline.org.
Glenhaven Gardens of Alton Supportive Living offers adults age 65 and over customized personal care services to maintain their independence.
