ALTON | The 10th annual Miles Davis Jazz Festival will be held on Saturday, June 27, at Jacoby Arts Center, beginning at 6 p.m. Headlining this year will be the Montez Coleman Trio, consisiting of Montez, Adam Maness and Jamahl Nichols. Coleman has played along with many of the biggest names in jazz, including Wynton Marsalis, Sean Jones, Bruce Barth and more. Recently, he released a CD with saxophonist Willie Akins in St. Louis. Saxophonist Fred Walker will open the event at 6 p.m., followed by the Danny Campbell Ensemble of St. Louis.
A party bus will be offered from Westport Plaza in St. Louis to the event, holding approximately 35 people for a cost of $25. The festival is presented by the Alton Museum of History and Art.
