The Illinois Department of Transportation Friday announced that Illinois Route 15 will be reduced to one lane in both directions from I-255 to east of Illinois Route 159 beginning on Monday, April 21, weather permitting.
Two lanes will remain open in the westbound lanes between 6 and 9 a.m., and two lanes will remain open in the eastbound lanes between 3 and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. These lane closures are required to make pavement repairs and complete resurfacing. The work will be completed by Sept. 1, 2014.
The Department asks that motorists be patient, reduce speed, obey all warning signs, and use additional caution when traveling near and throughout this work zone.
