Illinois Association for Home and Community Education (IAHCE) held its 90th Annual Conference in Decatur on March 18-20, showcasing their theme "Been Cookin' for 90 Years!"
Nine Madison County HCE board members and one county HCE member attended. Many educational classes were offered to attendees, including "Stan's What's Its (featuring unusual antique items), "Style Session w/Accessories"; technology workshops, and food and gardening classes.
Tuesday evening, Madison County as well as other counties were recognized for their achievements throughout 2013. Madison County was awarded for gaining 52 new members during the year, thanks to the efforts of Second Vice President Joyce Cornwell; President, Vi Huebner and HCE members. MCAHCE received recognition for its volunteer hours, honorable mention for Family Issues President's report on exercise by Wendy Brady and President's Grand Award for Public Relations in Madison County.
