GODFREY — Continuing the Greater Alton Concert Association’s 74th season, the Ambassadors of Harmony will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Lewis and Clark Community College.
Returning after a three-year absence, the group is the St. Louis area’s premier men’s a cappella chorus of more than 160 voices known for powerful performances. Its repertoire includes Broadway classics, barbershop, jazz, pop and holiday favorites.
The chorus has won three gold medals in the Barbershop Harmony Society’s international contest, most recently in 2012 in Portland, Ore. The group has sung for audiences across the United States and has also performed in England, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands and Sweden.
Tickets are $27 or $25 in advance and $10 for students and children. The season concludes with Dean Christopher and the “Ratpack Show” at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 19. The 75th Diamond Anniversary Concert Season will be announced at this concert and season ticket orders will begin.
