GODFREY — Mayor Mike McCormick has proclaimed May 1 as Bullying Prevention Day in Godfrey.
St. Ambrose Catholic School in Godfrey will observe the day as part of their bullying prevention program. Beginning at 7:50 a.m. May 1 with a kick-off rally, including each grade sharing their own chants and cheers, the entire school will march around the parking lot in support of bullying prevention. Parents, parish members, community members and community leaders are invited to participate.
East Elementary School in Alton also will participate with a march around the school at 9 a.m. May 1 and will conduct lessons teaching the Stop/Walk/Talk bully prevention tool the entire week.
