ALTON — Halpin Music Co. is gearing up for Springfest, its annual customer appreciation day.
Live local music, drawings, giveaways and snacks will be available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the music store, 2375 E. Homer M. Adams Parkway.
The musical lineup includes:
- 10 a.m. — The Alton High School Percussion Ensemble
- 11 a.m. — Never 2 L8
- Noon — Angels Untamed (Our Rock 101 Project Band!)
- 1 p.m. — Chasing Ferris
- 2 p.m. — Upshot Gentlemen
- 3 p.m. — Persistent Insanity
- 4 p.m. — Age & Treachery
The business was originally established as the F.W. Davis Piano Co. in 1895. Its current name was derived when Clem and Ann Halpin purchased the former Gould Music in the spring of 1961. Halpin Music has been under the ownership of Mark Landon and Brock Hermens since 1995.
