GRAFTON — The Tyler Hammond Band will perform a free show from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, at the Grafton Winery & Brewhaus, 300 W. Main St.
Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Wynn Jackson, Hammond’s personal manager, had not committed to a new artist since 2005 when he represented the Zac Brown Band. But once he heard the band in 2012, Jackson signed the band in no time, according to information provided by Hammond.
“There’s soul, there’s funk, there’s urban and there is sure enough country being blasted off this stage when these five guys are in the house,” Jackson said.
The band consists of Tyler Hammond on vocals and guitar, Craig on guitar, Jonny on bass, Uriah on guitar and keys and Jody on the drums. The band was founded in 2008 in Milledgeville, Ga., and has performed with country stars such as Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Zac Brown Band and many more. The band has released an album — Bring On The Crazy EP — with seven tracks.
Visitors also will be able to enjoy a taste of award-winning wines. The wine list includes white, red, rose, fruit and decadent dessert wines. The winery has been recognized as having some of the best wines in international competitions.
