This past week, Linda and I had the great fortune to attend the latest theatrical production at the Alton Little Theater. Though I am always proud of the River Bend area which we live and socialize in, the enchanting production of “Always … Patsy Cline” left us in awe of the talent found here in our own community. We could not have been more proud!
The rendition of “Always … Patsy Cline” by the Alton Little Theater was spot-on and transported us back to the heyday of the Grand Ole Opry. From the Bodacious Bobcats Band, to the authentic set, to the lighting and costuming, and to the superior directing, this production rivaled any that I have seen on Broadway. Moreover, to witness the transformation of Debbie Maneke to Patsy Cline and Lee Cox to Louise was awe-inspiring and, in my humble opinion, a Tony Award-caliber performance.
We offer the most sincere thanks to the many folks who applied their theatrical “know how” to this production and a job well-done to the Alton Little Theater!
