Many school principals would probably stay inside on a day like Jan. 7, when area residents woke up to temperatures in the single digits. But St. Mary’s School Vice Principal Mary Pat Venardos wasn’t one of them. Instead, she braved the cold and greeted the children in her usual fashion — with one modification.
