Once again we have welcomed the baby Jesus, with worship, praise and joy. But what do we do now?
The Bible says, “For unto us a Son is born; unto us a Son is given.” If we had a son born unto us, what would we do? We’d take him home and love him, just like our own children … right? Why not say, “come in today; come in to stay; come into my heart Lord Jesus.”
So now we’ve got him in our home and in our hearts, now what? Why not do what we did with our own babies? We checked on them regularly and talked to them sweetly, so they would know we loved them. Jesus is happy when we talk to him. Our thoughts and prayers are surely, “sweet sweet sounds in His ears.” As He grows in us, we will hear from Him, and He will talk to us, and we will get to know Him better and better. As we nurture Him, He will nurture and guide us. After all it is written, “and a little child will lead them.” Isn’t this the reason God sent Him to us? Let us live with Jesus every day.
