Our church, like many other churches, has a sunrise worship service early on Easter morning. This year there was a threat of rain, so the service was held indoors rather than out in our Prayer Garden. It started at 6:15 a.m., when it still was dark. The altar was placed in front of the big windows facing east. The lighted cross on the wall behind us was reflected in the windows. We sang the traditional Easter hymns and Pastor Don Long’s sermonette was entitled “Okay Google.” During worship, as the sun began to rise the cross reflection began to dim. Just before the end of worship it became light enough that the cross reflection disappeared completely.
God had provided the punch line to the message! The cross was gone! He is risen! He is risen indeed!
