A thoughtful request from a child, determined parents and a community full of helpful people helped raise $2,459.95 for a girl fighting cancer. The family car that takes Ariana Scoggins for her treatments needed repairs and Abbygail Freeman had an idea that might help. She asked her mom if they could raise money for a girl who has cancer at her school. This simple request turned into an outpouring of donations from friends and family. Lemonade, cupcakes and cups were donated and Bensman’s Automotive stepped up and donated their parking lot for the event. Volunteers showed up in full force to help with crowd. “The lemonade stand was fun and I am glad that people came and donated money,” Abbygail said.
