U.S. Rep. Bill Enyart (D-Illinois) will begin airing television advertisements this week.
The ad will be his first of the campaign season and will highlight his leadership for Southern Illinois.
“This week, we will begin airing commercials about my experience as congressman and as commanding general of the Guard,” Enyart said. “My 35 years in the military instilled a “get the job done” approach to all challenges. When I came to Congress, I brought the same attitude. While it has been extremely challenging given the problems in Washington, I am still proud of what we have been able to accomplish in a short period of time.”

Before beginning his first term of elected office last year, Enyart capped off a 35-year military career as two-star Major General and Commander of the Illinois National Guard. He also served his hometown of Belleville, as a Social Security and disability rights attorney for the elderly and disabled in Southern Illinois. As a young man, Enyart worked on the assembly line at Caterpillar — just like his father. Raised with a commitment to service and values, Enyart puts a premium on hard work and honesty — which is why he continues to stand up for coal miners, teachers, laborers, and veterans.
Enyart’s ad campaign will begin this week. He is running for reelection in the 12th Congressional District of Illinois.
