GLEN CARBON — The loss of an infant is an unbearable thought, but it’s a reality many families must face.
Dynamo Pro Wrestling is hosting a wrestling charity event Saturday, July 11, at The Sports Academy, 101 The Game Drive. Doors open at 7 p.m. with a bell time of 8 p.m.
“This event is near and dear to me and my wife,” Dynamo Pro media relations director Rob Mangrum said. “We went through the loss of our baby during pregnancy and Share has been a great asset to us in our time of loss and need.”
Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Inc. is an organization for anyone who experiences the tragic death of a baby. Share serves parents, grandparents, siblings and others, as well as professionals who care for grieving families. Share is a national organization with approximately 75 chapters in 29 states. Services include bedside companions, phone counseling, face-to-face support group meetings, resource packets, private online communities, memorial events and training for caregivers.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Tickets for children age 5 to 12 are $5. A portion of the proceeds will to go Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Inc.
This event will feature many Dynamo Pro Wrestling favorites such as Dynamo Pro Wrestling heavyweight champion “DirdEY” Jake Dirden, Dynamo Pro tag team champions “The Black Hand Warriors,” “The King of Chaos” Ricky Cruz, “The Bum Rush Brothers,” Mike Outlaw, Keon Option, Justin D’Air, Elvis Aliaga, Brandon Aarons, Billy McNeil, Evan Morris, Lucy Mendez and Danny Adams.
Since 2007, Dynamo Pro Wrestling has strived to bring professional wrestling to fans of all ages. The organization has presented fundraising events for the Collinsville Raiders Football League, the Pittsfield High School Athletic Department, the American Stroke Association and the Greater St. Louis Multiple Sclerosis Society.
