WOOD RIVER — African Vision of Hope will hold its seventh annual golf tournament Saturday, June 27, at Belk Park Golf Course.
This is the largest golf tournament at the golf course every year. The entire morning is filled with reminders of how the tournament has affected the lives of children living in extreme poverty in Zambia. It is also a day when participants express thanks and gratitude to the golfers and hole sponsors and let them see how they are part of something bigger than themselves.
Forty volunteers work together to make this a memorable and special day, serving those golfing and those across the globe. This year the tournament will focus on raising funds for the African Vision of Hope educational program.
African Vision of Hope’s mission is to tackle the root causes of poverty by providing 1,900 vulnerable children the opportunity to be educated, healthy and learn economic and leadership skills.
