GODFREY — The Shops at Beverly Farm will host its annual open house from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21.
Located at 6301 Humbert Road, the center consists of a gift shop, resale shop and coffee café. The gift shop will be filled with holiday floral arrangements, seasonal wreaths and other Christmas-themed and autumn-inspired home décor items.
“We will have arrangements and wreaths throughout the season,” floral designer Roy Becker said. “We have about 10 volunteers at the shop who work hard to put this together. We are lucky to have them.”
In addition to the gift shop, a resale shop is fully stocked with clothes, shoes, purses, coats for all sizes and more. The coffee shop will serve a variety of flavors as well as specialty drinks such as mochas, lattes, cappuccinos and fruit smoothies. Baked items from the Busy Bee Bakery will be available.
Guests also can enjoy complimentary snacks and register to win a free holiday wreath. For information, call Roy at (618) 466-1187.
The Giving Tree
Beverly Farm, a home and training center for adults with developmental disabilities, also has a Secret Santa program for its residents. The Giving Tree will have names of residents for which volunteers can provide holiday gifts.
“This is a chance to give a good holiday to residents here who may not have any family members to make their Christmas special,” Director of Marketing and Admissions Cody Buttry-Hinkle said. “People can come and draw a name from the tree, or if an organization wants a group of names, I can deliver those names for you.”
