ALTON — The fourth annual Black Business Month Expo is set for 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at 228 E. Elm St.
This year’s theme is: “To patronize at least one black-owned business each day in the month of August.”
The Black Business Development Association’s Town Hall Meeting will start at 1 p.m.
There will be a car show for 1980s and older model cars, a hula hoop contest at 11 a.m. and vendors, according to a statement by George Tuggle III, president of the Black Business Development Association.
First-, second- and third-place plaques will be awarded in the car show. Registration will be 8 a.m. until noon with judging at noon.
