ALTON — Centerstone, one of Illinois’ largest nonprofit providers of community-based behavioral health care, has added three new staff members in the Alton area:
- Amanda Mecalo, life skills instructor
- Heather McKaig, property management specialist
- Jacob Holmes, facilities technician
“We are delighted to welcome Amanda, Heather and Jacob to our team,” said John Markley, CEO of Centerstone. “Every member of our organization plays a vital role in our efforts to deliver care that changes people’s lives. We look forward to the contributions of Amanda, Heather and Jacob to Centerstone’s work in helping people recover from addiction and mental health conditions in Illinois.”
Mecalo will assist Centerstone clients in building the life and social skills needed for independent living. She received her bachelor of arts in psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
McKaig will manage five HUD housing facilities, ensuring tenants have a safe, clean and affordable place to live. A graduate of Alton High School, she previously worked in health care.
Holmes, a graduate of East Alton-Wood River High School, will work to maintain Centerstone’s Alton headquarters building. He has two years of facilities maintenance experience.
