Law Bulletin Publishing Co. and its Leading Lawyers division have announced that Susan F. Grammer, a sole practitioner based in East Alton, again has been named a Leading Lawyer.
She was recognized in three specific areas of law: adoption and reproductive technology, family law, and Social Security disability law.
Grammer originally was named a Leading Lawyer in 2015 in the same legal areas. Leading Lawyers’ rankings are based on surveys of attorneys across Illinois, meaning Grammer’s honors came from the recommendation of her peers.
“Only 5 percent of the 93,000 lawyers licensed to practice in Illinois achieve the distinction of being named Leading Lawyers,” Leading Lawyers Publisher Scott C. Anderson said. “It’s a great honor to be recognized in any practice area, and greater still for your peers to select you in three distinct areas of law.”
Leading Lawyers surveys lawyers and asks, “If a family member or friend needed legal help and you couldn’t take the case, to whom would you refer them?”
To maintain the quality and credibility of the survey, lawyers may not nominate themselves or anyone at their law firm.
