ALTON — John Keller, regional president of Carrollton Bank, has announced he will retire at the end of the year. Keller’s banking career has spanned more than 30 years.
Twenty years ago, Keller joined Carrollton and ultimately helped open their bank on Homer Adams Parkway. Since then, that location has grown to more than $115 million in deposits and approximately $100 million in loans.
“We are all very proud of John’s accomplishments,” CEO Tom Hough said. "He has been very instrumental in helping grow our Alton bank during his tenure. John has always possessed a real passion for his clients and the community. It’s been a pleasure to work with John, and it is an honor for all of us to help him celebrate his service to our bank, and to the entire River Bend Region.”
Throughout his career, Keller has volunteered his service to many civic and philanthropic organizations, including the Riverbend Growth Association, Marquette Catholic High School, OSF Saint Anthony’s Health Center, East End Improvement Association, Southern Illinois Employers Association, Alton-Godfrey Rotary, the Alton Halloween Parade and Pride Inc.
“I’ve enjoyed it all — especially the many fine colleagues, clients and civic leaders I have gotten to share so much of my time with through the years,” Keller said.
Before joining Carrollton, Keller had worked at Illinois State Bank in East Alton from 1987 to 1996 and at Missouri State Bank in St. Louis from 1982 to 1987.
