ALTON — Kreative Kids Learning Center has been recertified with the Gold Circle of Quality rating by Excelerate Illinois, the Illinois Quality Rating System for early childhood education facilities.
The center was the first early childhood education facility in the Riverbend to be recognized with the Gold Circle rating in November 2012. The rating is achieved by undergoing a rigorous evaluation by an independent review team of the center’s education and care activities, policies and procedures and administrative practices.
The center is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services to provide care for 169 children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years. The center, 121 W. Elm St., Alton, has been serving children and families in the Riverbend region for more than 45 years. The center’s school-age program provides before and after school care for children attending the Alton School District elementary schools and provides a full-day summer school age program. Enrollment is under way for the 2016 program.
The center is a partner of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, RiverBend Growth Association and North Alton/Godfrey Business Council.
