Congratulations to Mark and Audrey Stewart, owners of My Antique Store, on being awarded the April 2015 Small Business of the Month. My Antique Store is located at 1007 West Delmar in Godfrey. Mark and Audrey are antique dealers and specialize in glass and china. My Antique Store is the place for the glass collector. Spencer T. Olin Golf Course hosts Business After Hours
Thank you to the team at Spencer T. Olin Golf Course for hosting the April Business After Hours networking event on Thursday, April 23. The team at Spencer T. Olin Golf Course was excited to showcase the renovations to the clubhouse. Renovations include adding accommodations for more than 150 in seating, a new sound system, new kitchen and more. The clubhouse can be divided into three sections; therefore offering spaces for small groups to large groups. More than 100 people attended this networking event and enjoyed the endless opportunities to network and the delicious appetizers and beverages provided by Spencer T. Olin. Various door prizes were given away, compliments of the course. Stop out at Spencer T. CJD E-Cycling retail store open
Congratulations to the team at CJD E-Cycling on the opening of their retail store at 513 E. St. Louis Ave. in East Alton. CJD E-Cycling is a family-owned recycling company focused on accommodating the needs of Illinois residents due to the new law set forth banning electronic waste in landfills. Their corporate office is located in Edwardsville, while their retail store is in East Alton. The retail store in East Alton is a drop-off site for recycling electronics — anything with a cord. This site in East Alton is also their retail store where electronics are refurbished and resold. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Bethalto Head Start open house
Congratulations to Riverbend Head Start & Family Services on the opening of the Bethalto Head Start Center at the Simpson Achievement Center, which marks their sixth center. The Bethalto Head Start has one classroom in operation and has created a second one for future expansion. The staff is currently preparing 32 children for kindergarten in the public schools. Alton Memorial Hospital President David Braasch, who is also the chairman of the board for Riverbend Head Start & Family Services, opened the ceremony, with other speakers joining him: Bethalto Community Unit School District 8 Superintendent Charles Stegall and President and CEO of Riverbend Head Start Charles Parr. Tony’s Restaurant showcases new menu
Tony’s Restaurant located at 312 Piasa St. in downtown Alton, debuted its new menu selections for their Prohibition Lounge. Tony’s Restaurant has been in business for 61 years and offers fine and casual dining and off-site catering. They have a selection of meeting rooms ranging in size to accommodate groups of 10 to 70. Renovated Women’s Health & Childbirth Center revealed at Alton Memorial Hospital
Alton Memorial Hospital celebrated with a ribbon-cutting and open house showing off its renovated and expanded Women’s Health and Childbirth Center on April 16. More than 5,000 additional square feet includes new labor/delivery and recovery/post-partum rooms, three new private triage rooms, a private and secure entrance, and a new waiting area.
