Di Rulo and Kelly Masinelli are the co-owners of Tranquil Reflections Yoga Studio, 112 S. Prairie St. in Bethalto.
BETHALTO — You’ve probably heard of the many benefits of yoga and meditation and now you can experience those benefits, firsthand, right here in Bethalto.
Tranquil Reflections Yoga Studio, co-owned by Di Rulo and Kelly Masinelli, just opened its doors to the community the first week of July. The pair met in early 2015 in 200-hour yoga teacher training and, seeing a need within the area, have been working diligently toward opening a yoga studio. They have fulfilled their dream by opening this space at 112 S. Prairie St.
While the studio is primarily focused on providing a variety of yoga classes for everyone of all abilities, it is much more than just a yoga studio. It offers a welcoming space for the community to come together through many yoga classes, chair exercise for those with mobility challenges, Zumba, fun activities and educational workshops. One of its first events was Mindful Art, where attendants enjoyed a brief meditation and simple yoga sequence before painting a small canvas while seated upon their mats. Future events include Meditation and Yoga for Peace; a fundraiser, more Mindful Art events, a yoga and fitness workshop, belly dance event, and a monthly Friday Family Yoga Night.
Tranquil Reflections Yoga’s mission is to provide a space for health, community, beauty, peace and harmony. Anyone can do yoga because yoga is for everyone; allow yourself to be open to great things.
