Candidates have filed to run for open seats in Madison County’s April 7 election.
Incumbents Robert DiPaolo, Jeff Mull and Gary D. Bost and newcomer Dan McRae are running for three four-year trustee seats.
Incumbents Walter Allen Hale III, Phillip Keasler and Debra Angleton and newcomer Stanley Foiles are running for three four-year trustee terms and newcomer Joe Silkwood is running for one two-year term.
Incumbent Eldon C. (Twirp) Williams and newcomers William E. (Bill) Orrill, Karen J. McAtee, Joseph J. (Joe) Springman III, Terry G. Seymour, Kevin J. Botterbush and Nathaniel Keener have filed for three four-year trustee seats. Jerry Gibson and Jeffery R. Weber did not file for re-election.
Incumbent Robert Cheatham and newcomers Heather Flanigan, Tanya Kinder and Michelle Prickett are running for three four-year trustee terms. Trustees Charles Hendricks and Gary Schillinger did not file for re-election.
Kinder, the current village clerk, will resign prior to the election and the mayor will appoint a new clerk.
Incumbents Mark Diveley and Robert Kelly and newcomers Felix Floyd, Tanea Berry, Joshua Berry and Marty Reynolds are running for three four-year village trustee seats. Glen Vinyard did not file for re-election.
Kay Squires is running unopposed for a two-year village clerk term.
Incumbents Tonya Steed and Ronald Baggett and newcomers Freddie Childers and Tom Fleming are running for three four-year trustee terms.
Incumbents Frank Akers and Sharon Kadell and newcomer Anthony S. Roberts are running for two four-year City Council terms.
There are no elected offices on the April 7 ballot in Alton, according to the City Clerk’s Office.
Roxana School Board
Incumbents Karen McKinzie, Eric Noble and Sherry Keller and newcomers Craig Harris, Clyde “Butch” McGill and Eugene Hartman are running for three four-year School Board seats.
Bethalto School Board
Incumbents Susan E. Walker and Todd Meiser and newcomers Susan Gowin-Woelfel, Donald Woelfel and Aimee Long are running for three four-year School Board terms.
Alton School Board
Incumbents David P. Lauschke and Vivian L. Monckton and newcomers Don Metzler, David M. Fritz and Philip Robbins are running for three four-year School Board terms.
East Alton District 13 School Board
Incumbents Keith W. Trout, Marvin Peterson and Ken Harmon are running for three four-year terms.
East Alton-Wood River District 14 School Board
Incumbents William Leroy Duncan, Jennifer Murray and Michelle St. Peters are running for four four-year school board terms. If no one runs as a write-in candidate, the board would appoint someone to fill the vacant seat after the election.
Madison County Educational Service Region
Rosetta Brown and Lawrence O. Brase Jr. are running for two six-year terms.
