HARTFORD — Classic and antique cars will spend the afternoon at the Lewis and Clark Confluence Tower, 435 Confluence Tower Drive, from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, as the tower hosts its second Car Cruise In of the year.
Cars from throughout the region are expected to be on hand for the free event, which also will feature food vendors. The first 50 cars to register will receive a free commemorative plate and a guided tour of the tower. All types of vehicles are welcome, including classic cars, stock cars, drag cars and custom bikes.
The tower is open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Guided daily tours are available throughout the day. Admission to the tower is $4 for adults, $2 for children 12 and under and children 2 and under are free. Group rates are available for 12 or more people and reservations can be made by calling the Alton Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau at (618) 465-6676.
