EDWARDSVILLE — Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s inaugural Generation Rx Carnival will call attention to the growing problem of prescription drug abuse.
The event, sponsored by the SIUE School of Pharmacy, will run from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at SIUE’s Morris University Center. Madison County State’s Attorney Tom Gibbons will be stopping by the event, designed to educate the SIUE community about the dangers of prescription drug abuse.
Booths will have information on prescription drugs, alcohol abuse and illegal drugs. The State’s Attorney’s Office will have a booth that will feature materials from the Lock Your Meds campaign and a raffle for a medical lock box.
