EDWARDSVILLE —The Main Street Community Center is seeking seniors and disabled adults who would benefit from the home-delivered meal program.
This program offers a balanced meal, prepared by Senior Services Plus, Monday through Friday, for $3.50 per day.
The meals are delivered to the participant’s home by volunteers. The program is open to Edwardsville and Glen Carbon residents who need meals full-time, part-time and on a temporary or permanent basis.
To register or to receive more information about the home-delivered meal program, call the Community Center at (618) 656-0300.
Every fall, the center kicks off its annual FRIENDS Campaign to raise general funds for center programs and services.
For the first time, FRIENDS contributions can be made through automatic monthly bank drafts. Simply complete a pledge form and return it to the Community Center with a voided check. After that, no writing checks, no going to the bank to pick up extra cash, no remembering if you gave or not. It is all done for you and a tax letter will be sent to you at the end of each year to show how much you gave. Just think, $10 a month is $120 a year, $25 a month is $300 a year. You can make a big impact with monthly contributions. Of course, you may also give through a one-time contribution by check or credit card. All proceeds will fund the community center.
For more information or for a pledge form, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Community Center at 656-0300.
