HARTFORD — The Lewis & Clark Confluence Tower will be open five days per week starting Wednesday.
Visitors can watch the spring season evolve at the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers from 50, 100 and 150 feet high.
The tower, 435 Confluence Tower Dr., will be open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.
“Spring is finally here,” Hartford Project Manager Deanna Barnes said. “We have great views from the tower throughout the spring season and some exciting events planned for people who want to celebrate our beautiful spring foliage. Visitors can check out our events at the Confluence Tower website.”
Guided daily tours are available throughout the day at the tower. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for adults 62 and older, active military and military veterans; $2 for children 12 and younger and children 2 and younger are free. Group rates are available for 12 or more and reservations are available by calling the Alton Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau at (618) 465-6676.
