U.S. Rep. Bill Enyart (D-Illinois) will host a second teletown hall on Tuesday, July 1, because of overwhelming response from June’s meeting.
“Over 5,000 Southern Illinoisans joined me on the phone in June,” Enyart said. “We discussed veterans’ health care, unemployment insurance, unfair steel trade and much more. With July’s call, we expect even more folks to participate and ask questions.”
Constituents from the 12th Congressional District in Illinois are invited to call into the teletown hall meeting. The call begins at 6:45 p.m., but constituents are urged to call in a few minutes early.
Enyart will discuss his personal inquiries into the VA administration’s health care issues, the fiscal year 2014 defense budget and its effect on Southern Illinois, his new workforce investment and jobs bill and more. Constituents are encouraged to ask the congressman questions directly during the meeting.
“We had an overwhelming response to the teletown hall in June,” Enyart said. “It simply goes to show the high level of interest and engagement Southern Illinoisans have with their government.”
Constituents can dial (877) 229-8493 and enter ID code 112868 when prompted. For information, visit www.enyart.house.gov.
