ALTON — Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation announces Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor Charity Nevins has joined the behavioral health department at Alton Health Center, 550 Landmarks Blvd. in Alton.
Nevins provides therapy services for children, adolescents and adults. She is dedicated to completing comprehensive mental health and behavioral assessments for each client and developing personalized recovery and treatment plans based on an individual’s needs.
“I take the time to help patients identify their strengths and then use those strengths to overcome any current barriers they are facing,” Nevins said. “In the end, my focus is on helping my patients become a better version of themselves.”
Nevins received both her bachelor of arts in sociology and her master of arts in professional clinical counseling from McKendree University in Lebanon. Prior to joining Alton Health Center, Nevins served as mental health therapist at WellSpring Resources as well as in numerous roles at Transitions Counseling, Community Counseling Center and Children’s Home & Aid.
