A St. Louis County teen was charged Thursday with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of St. Louis County Police Department Officer Blake Snyder.
Trenton E. Forster, 18, of the 9500 block of Sequoia Court in Affton, Mo., was charged with killing Snyder, an Alton native, in a shootout at about 5:06 a.m. Thursday in a south St. Louis County neighborhood. Police said Snyder commanded Forster to show him his hands and Forster shot him “point blank.” Forster is hospitalized after being shot during an ensuing altercation with police.
Forster’s Twitter page expresses hostility toward police officers.
“My anger problems gonna make me catch a (expletive deleted) body one day,” one post states.
Forster’s bail was set at $1 million, cash only.
According to stltoday.com, visitation for Snyder will be 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Kutis Funeral Home Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road, south St. Louis County. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Family Church,17458 Chesterfield Airport Road, Chesterfield. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
